Reforest Trees is proud to announce a strategic collaboration with Hack4Impact, a U.S.-based nonprofit technology organization, and a multidisciplinary team of students from the University of Illinois, to design and develop Peru’s first Web 3.0 platform powered by blockchain technology for reforestation and carbon footprint mitigation.
This pioneering platform represents a major milestone in environmental innovation in Peru. It is being built to address one of the most critical global challenges: climate change driven by carbon emissions and deforestation. Through a blockchain-based infrastructure, the platform will ensure full transparency, traceability, and verification of reforestation initiatives, allowing stakeholders to monitor environmental impact with scientific rigor.
The Web 3.0 architecture will enable immutable recording of reforestation projects, carbon offset calculations, and long-term ecological indicators. Each tree planted will be linked to verifiable data, contributing to accurate carbon footprint reduction metrics and reinforcing trust among donors, partners, and institutions. This approach aligns with international standards for climate accountability, ESG compliance, and impact measurement.
